THE WEDDING DAY
Saturday • December 10 • 2022
2:30pm
Catholic Ceremony

The church will be open at 2:30pm. Please be seated no later than 2:45pm.

We respectfully ask that you do not have your phones out during the ceremony.

St. Joseph's is a very small church and we would like to keep this as intimate as possible.

We have hired amazing photographers and videographers to capture the ceremony for us.

Parents with babies, please leave strollers in cars as the church is very small.
Photos with guests
Please wait for your group to be announced, as we would love to make sure that the photographer snaps a photo of us with you!

Once these have finished, feel free to bust out your phones and snap the night away. We'd love to see your photos.

If you use instagram please tag us @oakandauck and use the hashtag #oakandauck
3:45pm
Shuttle to The Winehouse

St. Joseph's Parish is a 20 - 25 minute drive to The Winehouse.

Complimentary shuttles will take you to The Winehouse and will return to Queenstown CBD (Athol St) when the night ends.

We highly suggest taking the shuttle, as taxi and rideshares are not so abundant in Queenstown. Taking the shuttle will also allow you to sit back, relax and enjoy the view (and drink to your heart's content)!

For those who wish to drive
When nearing the venue, keep an eye out for the AJ Hackett Bungy signs as this shares the main entrance with The Winehouse. Keep moving forward until you see the sign for The Winehouse.

Important note for everyone
Please do not leave your cars in the St. Joseph's Parish carpark after the ceremony. This needs to be vacated for services later that day.
4:15pm
Cocktail Hour & Reception

Let's get lit y'all!

Travel
Getting to Queenstown
The closest airport to our venue is Queenstown airport.
8km (5mi) from Queenstown CBD / St. Joseph's Parish
18km (11mi) from The Winehouse.

Queenstown Airport (ZQN)
Sir Henry Wigley Drive
Frankton 9300
Queenstown, New Zealand

For those seeking good deals on flights, we will try our best to send emails out if we see anything good. Otherwise you can also try these subscription services.

For those traveling from America/Europe
  • You might need an NZeTA visa to enter the country.
If you download the app it will only be $17, instead of $23.
  • Queenstown is located in the South Island of New Zealand.
Auckland is in the North Island.
  • Unfortunately there are no direct flights from the States to Queenstown, you will most likely have to stopover at Auckland International Airport (AKL)
  • Flights from Auckland to Queenstown are approx. 1 hour 50 mins
  • Please keep time difference in mind. Generally if you leave the west coast (USA) on a Thursday, you will arrive in New Zealand on a Saturday. So east coasters, this will be an even longer difference for you guys.

For those traveling into New Zealand
Please be sure that your passport is valid for at least six months after your intended date upon reentering your home country.

For example, if you plan to return to the US on 12 December 2022, your passport must be valid until at least 12 June 2023.
Wedding Day Transport
As mentioned in The Wedding Day section, we will be providing a shuttle service from St. Joseph's Parish to The Winehouse, and back to the Queenstown CBD (Athol Street).

We highly recommend doing this as it will allow you to enjoy the day with less worries.

Rideshare and taxi services exist, but are less abundant especially from The Winehouse.

Another thing to keep in mind is that we drive on the left side of the road in New Zealand.

Please refer back to The Wedding Day section for more info.
Accommodation

We've never stayed at a hotel in Queenstown, so our personal recommendation would be to get an Airbnb.

Plenty of Airbnb homes are available for small and large parties. And a lot of them in Queenstown have gorgeous views!

Recommended areas to stay:
  • Queenstown CBD
  • Frankton
  • Lake Hayes

If you don't have an Airbnb account, use the link below to receive a $40USD+ discount on your first stay:
